From the Free Press following Monday's win over the Grizzlies:
Hamilton (19 points) and Rasheed Wallace (nine points) were cold all night. Hamilton was 6-for-18 and Wallace 3-for-11, but Wallace did make a few key baskets.
On one, Wallace picked up a loose ball at his ankles, stood up and knocked down a three-pointer that gave Detroit a one-point lead in the second overtime.
"I couldn't make it the easy way, looking straight at the basket," Wallace said. "So (bleep) it, why not? Why not shoot from your ankles?"
