Watching the Pistons win back-to-back championships in 1989 and 1990 still ranks as one of my most favorite sports memories. Unfortunately, it's also one of the most hazy -- I was 10 years old when they won the first title, and to be perfectly honest, I wasn't even able to stay awake to see the end of the clinching Game 4. As a diehard Pistons fan, I carried that guilt along with me for many, many years. Going to Game 5 of the 2004 Finals and watching the team win their third title helped ease some of the pain, but it wasn't until a couple of minutes ago that I realized I can finally get complete closure...

While checking out Need 4 Sheed, I happened to notice an Amazon advertisement at the top of the page: Pistons' 1988-89 playoff run is now available on DVD! It's not just a highlight reel, either -- it's 11-discs with every game in its entirety of the Eastern Conference Finals against Jordan's Bulls and the NBA Finals against Magic and Kareem's Lakers. At first I thought it was the entire playoff run, including the first-round against Bird's Celtics and second against (Sikma's? Cummings'? Whose team was that?) Bucks, but sadly, that doesn't appear to the case. But still, we're talking about almost 19 hours of game action.

Do I sound like an Amazon shill right now? Probably, but it's something I'm genuinely excited about (and after doing a little poking around on Google, I can see I'm not the only one). It's not officially released until November 14, but considering I've waited 17 years to see Game 4, I suppose I can wait another few weeks.
