The buzz before tonight’s matchup with the Hornets

The Pistons play the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets this evening, and while this isn't the type of game that usually gets a full-on, in-depth preview, we thought we'd mail one in by providing a couple interesting links.

1. The MLive Full-Court Press blog provides us with this interesting quote from Byron Scott, printed in your copy of The Oklahoman:

April 4, The Oklahomian: "Against Detroit, you've got to have everybody healthy," Scott said. "And they got to have somebody hurt. They need some guys hurt, and you've got to play perfect basketball."

I don't know whether wtf? or wtf! is more appropriate in response.

2. According to the Worldwide Leader's game preview, the Hornets have won their last three, after losing 12 of 13. They currently trail Ron Ron and the Kings for the last playoff spot in the West. This means, if the Pistons were to drop a game tonight...accidentally (wink, wink), they could help push Crazy out of the playoffs. It might almost be worth it...nah, 60 wins and another step towards homecourt advantage, here we come. Besides, you wouldn't want to give Dale Davis a complex in the first and only Piston start of his career, would you?
