The Pistons officially picked up their 2009-10 team option for Will Bynum today. Honestly, there was never a chance they'd let Bynum leave -- it's rare you see a guy making close to the league minimum making the type of impact he did late in the year.
I'm not sure if the next step is talking about a long-term extension this summer or not, but I hope so: he's a hard-worker and a level-headed guy who's dealt with enough adversity in his career to handle any situation without his ego getting in his way -- and there may be only a couple other guys on the roster of which you could say the same.
