Welcome to Detroit: Pistons Select Jonas Jerebko With No. 39 Pick of NBA Draft

Welcome to the Detroit Pistons, Jonas Jerebko. Actually, welcome to America, too. Jerebko is a 6'9" 231 lb forward from Sweden who played in the highest Italian league for the past few seasons. He averaged 9.2 ppg and 5.5 rpg.

I've never seen Jerebko play, so take this for what it's worth. His strengths appear to be that he's tough as nails, has a great work ethic, and can play both the 3-position and 4-position. If this means anything, there appears to be more strengths to his game than weaknesses, according to Draft Express.

I don't think Joe Dumars is hiding his plan for the draft anymore. He's going after the versatile big(ger) guys available that have impressed him and his scouts, and not basing his decisions off of what everyone else is saying. He's certainly not listening to what we have been saying here in the draft day open thread.

After the jump is an interview of Jarebko, a 3-point shooting contest at a Reebok Eurocamp, and a "schiacciata fantastica" which I will assume means "fantastic slam dunk" in Italian. Again, leave your thoughts in the comments regarding this pick.
