Again and again! From this angle and that angle! Det @ NY

Game tips at 1:00 pm ET

Detroit Pistons: 14-25 (4-16 road, -4.9 margin)

New York Knicks: 16-24 (9-11 home, -1.5 margin)

Oppo Research

Because the NBA likes to pretend that people don't have to work on Martin Luther King Day, it schedules games as early as possible to take advantage of the fact that most people enjoy lunchtime basketball. If you don't like noon tip-offs, you don't like civil rights.

But yeah, we saw this team on Saturday, and got all the opposition research we could handle. I don't think there's any way the Pistons can let David Lee and Danilo Gallinari go off for 53 points and still win on the road. Other than that, the game plan should be the same. Force the Knicks to become a jump-shooting team, and you win.

Pistons Retro Moment

Let's see Rodney Stuckey do this.

Keys for Detroit

Keep Lee quiet - We've seen this movie before. The guy has been destroying us.

Keep Charlie V. close to the basket - It was the tale of two Charlies on Saturday, as he went off for 19 and 10 in spite of wasting his time shooting three pointers.

Get Rip going -Hey, I'll take 16 points in the first 94 seconds.

Question of the Game

Can the Pistons do it again? This is a good step toward putting a potential eight-seed contender in the rear-view mirror.
