The Orlando Magic visit the Detroit Pistons: Where Projectile Vomiting Happens

New, comments

Game Tips at 7:30 P.M. EST

Orlando Magic: 14 - 4 (5 - 2 road)

Detroit Pistons: 6 - 13 (4 - 4 home)

Oppo Research:

Having just played the Orlando Magic earlier this week, I'll keep this short and sweet. The Magic have a really tall guy that rebounds, blocks shots and goes to the line a lot. He's sick tonight. The Magic have a lights-out three point shooter that is deadly off the bench. He's sick tonight. The Magic have a renewed point guard who is quickly returning to his peak form from two years ago, dishing out a career best 7.5 assists per game. He's also sick tonight.

The trio of Howard, Redick and Nelson are currently dealing with projectile vomiting and Howard, at least, will not play. Have the basketball gods forgiven us?

Keys to the Game:

Don't underestimate this weakened team: The Magic may be without their best player and a few other key players, but don't think that Marcin Gortat, Rashard Lewis or Vince carter will take it easy on Detroit tonight.

Force Fouls: Without Howard, the Magic are thin up front. I'd love to see Rashard Lewis play center for Orlando.

Pick up the pace, move the ball: Copied/pasted from early Mike Payne game previews.

Question of the Game:

Apparently John Kuester will be changing the rotations tonight. Will Kuester's tinkering yield a stronger, more productive team? A weakened Orlando Magic might be the perfect opponent to test it on.
