Mike Woodson: Second interview with Detroit Pistons 'went very well'

After meeting with Joe Dumars and Scott Perry on June 20th, Mike Woodson returned for a second interview this morning, this time meeting with Bob Wentworth and Phil Norment, Tom Gores' right-hand men and Platinum Equity partners. And just like last time, Perry Farrell of the Detroit Free Press has the scoop with Woodson's reaction:

"I thought the meeting went very well," Woodson told the Free Press. "They asked me some personal things, and they asked about my coaching background and philosophy. They were kind of getting to know me. Hopefully, I’ll be able to meet Mr. Gores one day."

[...] Woodson said Joe Dumars, the Pistons' president of basketball operations, was in and out of today's meeting. Wentworth and Norment asked the questions.

"I wore my best suit," Woodson joked. "They didn’t really give me a timetable. I don’t know what’s going to happen yet. They said they were going to go away, and I’m sure they’ll talk to Mr. Gores and figure out their next move, I guess. All I can say is that I thought it went well."
