As expected, the NBA levied punishment on Kings rookie Thomas Robinson on Thursday for viciously elbowing Jonas Jerebko in the neck early in the fourth quarter of Wednesday night's game. Robinson will be suspended for two games -- Friday night against the San Antonio Spurs and Sunday night against the Los Angeles Lakers.
I don't foresee there being any appeal, as Kings coach Keith Smart said the ejection was the "best thing that could happen" to Robinson and any punishment issued by the league would serve as a learning experience for the rookie out of Kansas.
Jonas Jerebko was luckily not (seriously) hurt by the elbow, but surprisingly, he did bruise, according to Keith Langlois:
Robinson gets 2 games for elbow to neck of Jonas. All Jonas got was a nasty bruise on his neck. Also, a shiner, courtesy of Tyreke Evans
