Pistons 105, Raptors 86: Rodney Stuckey and Brandon Knight lead rout by doing just a guard things

The longest current winning streak in the NBA belongs to the Miami Heat and the ... DETROIT PISTONS.

A 105-86 blowout of the 13-win Toronto Raptors on Saturday night gives the Pistons their third win in a row and 11th in their last 17 games dating back to the beginning of February. What's crazier than winning is that the Pistons (15-26) are only 3.5 games out of the No. 8 playoff spot.

You had to know it was going to be a good night for the Pistons when the game opened against the Raptors with Greg Monroe hitting a jumper after receiving a pass from Brandon Knight -- two unlikely events merging in one possession, right? The Pistons never trailed and never looked back after jumping out to a 20-8 lead behind eight points and three assists from Knight, who finished the 37-14 quarter with 15 points and four assists. His final line read 19 points and seven assists.

Slightly better than Knight in a more spread out fashion was Rodney Stuckey, who finished with 20 points on 8-for-12 shooting and eight assists. The two were a combined 15-for-25 shooting and they are complementing each other quite nicely actually.

Now, dare we say playoff push? Keep in mind that nine of the Pistons' next 12 (and 15 of their last 25) are on the road, where the Pistons are 3-15 thus far this season.

• Charlie Villanueva is back which means jokes of the Pistons really making a push for more lottery balls. But Larry Frank is doing this really strange thing where he's making CV earn playing time. CV has yet to score a point this season.
• Greg Monroe only took four shots, which would normally induce several of us DBB'ers to start up a non-profit in which we try to raise awareness for the hungry Moose that need to be fed.
• Jason Maxiell lately has really increased his trade value. Tayshaun Prince has been refreshingly very good the last few games, as well.
