Pistons final score: Brandon Knight and Moose carry Detroit in dominating second half vs. Bucks

Down eight points at the half, 49-41, the Pistons stepped it up in a large way in the second half, particularly in the third quarter. Greg Monroe and Brandon Knight were the moon shoes, springing the Pistons back into the game and ultimately toward their seventh win in their last nine tries.

Monroe was dominant in the third, scoring 12 of his game-high 26 points and helping the Pistons to a 33-11 advantage in the quarter. Knight was every bit as excellent, scoring 10 points and dishing out all five of his assists (opposite zero turnovers) in the same frame.

The two then started the fourth right where they left off in the third, scoring the Pistons' first nine points and extending their team's lead to a game-high 21 points, 83-62. The Pistons kicked it into cruise control from there en route to a 103-87 win, their second over the inconsistent Bucks in the last couple weeks.

Monroe finished with 11 rebounds to go with his 26 points. Knight had 20 points, four rebounds and a couple well-deserved steals to go along with his five assists and no turnovers. Andre Drummond was a joy to watch off the bench in limited action, finishing with eight points, 11 rebounds, and FOUR blocks in exactly 17 minutes, including one super-athletic one-handed oop.

The Pistons will try to keep the good times rolling on Saturday against the Jazz. The game precedes another five-day lull in the schedule before the January 17 game in London vs. the Knicks.
