The game's tied, 43-43, thanks to a 3-pointer in the final seconds from Gigi Datome. Biggest surprise so far? Just two field-goal attempts from Brandon Jennings in 13 minutes and change. He briefly went to the locker room in the first half with an upset stomach -- you know he must not be feeling well if he's passing this much. (I kid!) (But no, really ...)
I expected a higher-scoring affair, but the Pistons, who came into the game allowing opponents to shoot nearly 40 percent from 3-point land, have held the Knicks to 2-of-10 from long range. Another bonus: Carmelo Anthony is shooting just 3-12 from the field. I'm guessing at least one of those trends will regress to the mean -- here's to hoping Detroit's offense makes up the difference.
Enough chatter -- to the comments!
