Interesting coach's decision by Maurice Cheeks to start Singler in place of Smith, but it has worked insofar that Singler is playing rather efficient (14 points on six shots). Smith, on the other hand, is 0-for-3 off the bench in just 10 minutes, but he does have a few rebounds and two blocks.

Andre Drummond nearly had a double-double in the first half with 11 points and nine rebounds. (For whatever it's worth -- not much probably -- he's the only Piston in the positive for plus-minus at plus-three.)
