Like so many hashtags before it, it seems #LetDreDunk was fun but ineffective.
Detroit Pistons big man Andre Drummond was not selected to participate in the dunk contest during All-Star weekend. Instead, 2012 champion Jeremy Evans of the Utah Jazz will face another former champion, Gerald Green of the Indian Pacers, Terrence Ross of the Toronto Raptors, James White of the New York Knicks, Eric Bledsoe of the Los Angeles Clippers and Kenneth Faried of the Denver Nuggets.
And while Drummond won't get scored for any spectacular dunks, he will still get plenty of opportunities to slam it home. Drummond was selected as part of "Team Shaq" for the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge. Among his teammates are point guards Damian Lillard and Kyrie Irving.
Knight will play for "Team Chuck" and most likely lose. Just check out the rosters for both teams.
Knight will also compete in the point guardy Skills Challenge and most likely lose that, too.
And in case you're interested, the 3-point contest, which features no Pistons, pits the following players against one another: Steve Novak, Paul George, Irving, Stephen Curry, Ryan Anderson and Matt Bonner.
