Despite not having Tony Parker, the Spurs still had their way with the Pistons in San Antonio on Sunday night.
114-75.
It was no contest from start to finish and it was utterly embarrassing. The team will deny it, but the Pistons appear to be fully invested in full tonk tank mode.
Not sure how else you explain nobody on the team showing up for a game against the team with the best record in the NBA.
Nobody.
Greg Monroe led the Pistons with 16 points and eight rebounds, but it was ugly. He turned the ball over four times (could have easily been more) and played horrible, sometimes for a lack of effort, defense. Jose Calderon scored 14 points on 6-for-10 shooting, but the team's point guard had only two assists. Charlie Villanueva somehow managed a double double, only his second in the last two seasons, but it came with a 4-for-11 chuck fest and more bad defense.
Those were the "bright" spots. (I'm yawning.)
The Spurs were awesome.
Everyone else was so far off the charts of bad, it will not do my keyboard and heart any good to continue typing about this game.
