NBA mock draft 2013: Pistons linked to Michael Carter-Williams, C.J. McCollum, Trey Burke

The consensus among pundits continues to be that the Pistons will target a guard in the NBA draft on June 27, as you can see in the table below. The good news is that Trey Burke's [SBN scouting report] stock seems to be falling since the last time we looked at one of these roundups, although only one site predicts he'll still be on the board when the Pistons are on the clock. Big man Alex Len [SBN scouting report], meanwhile, seems to have climbed into everyone's top five; that's a good thing, as it pushes the best available wings down a slot.

I'm not sure I actually buy the NBA.com or NBADraft.net scenarios with Burke and Victor Oladipo [DBB's scouting report], respectively, falling to Detroit, but I'd love for either one to play out in real life. I'm intrigued by Michael Carter-Williams [SBN scouting report], but his lack of an outside shot worries me. I'd much rather Burke or C.J. McCollum [SBN scouting report], even if he's more of an undersized shooting guard than a point.

Another prospect who's seen his stock plummet is Shabazz Muhammad [DBB's scouting report]. Once upon a time, he was a lock for the top half of the lottery; now, most sites have him falling out of the lottery entirely. Whether that represents draft-day value or a bullet dodged remains to be seen.
