From the team's press release:

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The Detroit Pistons will host an open practice, presented by Sprite, at The Palace of Auburn Hills on Saturday, October 5 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., giving fans their first look at the 2013-14 Detroit Pistons team.  Admission is free and guests can enter the arena through the West Atrium entrance beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The Sprite Ultimate Challenge will highlight pre-scrimmage festivities, taking place at 10:15 a.m., and feature 12 participants who previously entered at Sprite point-of-sale locations. The challenge will feature a three-point shooting competition with the winner being awarded a trip for two to the 2014 NBA All Star Game.

The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a free 20 oz. can of Sprite and first 1,000 fans will take home a Detroit Basketball t-shirt, courtesy of Sprite.

The annual open practice will be the first opportunity for Detroit fans to see new renovations at The Palace, watch newcomers Josh Smith, Brandon Jennings, first-round selection Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Gigi Datome in action on the court while welcoming back Chauncey Billups, Greg Monroe, Andre Drummond and the rest of the Pistons team.  First-year head coach Maurice Cheeks will lead the practice and scrimmage beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Practice will include player introductions, entertainment from the Detroit Pistons performance teams, and meet and greet opportunities with the Detroit Pistons Dancers. All guests are encouraged to visit the North Pavilion section of the concourse to pick-up vouchers and free giveaways, and visit the Locker Room Store for a "Slam Dunk Sale." Fans will also have the chance to visit the Locker Room Store in the West Atrium and be the first to view the new merchandise offerings, as well as pre-order the new "Motor City" jerseys.

"We are excited to host the annual open practice and give our fans the opportunity to come out to The Palace and see the new faces on this year’s roster," said Joe Dumars, Pistons President of Basketball Operations.  "Our players and coaching staff look forward to getting out on the court and bringing this team together."
