Josh Smith obviously belongs in Sacramento. He played well there last year and he did it again on Saturday night, scoring 21 points on 16 shots while grabbing 13 rebounds, blocking 5 shots and assisting 5 baskets. Sure, he turned it over 7 times and it's the first time the team's shots leader hit more than half of his shot attempts since April last season (H/T sauce1977), but he carried the Pistons in 38 minutes. He deserves a ton of credit and trade suitors.
The Pistons struggled all night finishing out the Kings, who scored the final seven points in both the second and third quarters. The Pistons turned a three-point deficit at the half into a seven-point, 67-60, lead after three, but it could have been a much bigger one going into the fourth quarter if not for poor possessions and turnovers.
Luckily for the Pistons, the Kings only shot 30 percent from the field for much of the night before turning it into 36 percent by the end of the game.
Andre Drummond had zero rebounds in 10 foul-troubled minutes at the half and still finished with 10 to go along with 12 points. Greg Monroe had 24 points on 13 shots off the bench.
