NBA Tank Watch: Pistons tank at tanking

The Pistons game was the only one to watch on Tuesday night for fans of tanking. The Pistons sorely disappointed. There are a handful of games on the slate for Wendesday night.

Tuesday

Sacramento at Detroit

Detroit won, 99-89, falling three games back of the Sacramento Kings in the Tankathon standings.

From the recap:

The Pistons used a strong third quarter effort, 20-11, to take down the visiting Kings at The Palace on Tuesday night by a final score of 99-89.

It might not make all the difference in the end, but the Pistons won a crucial game against a team to which it needed to lose. Now they find themselves three games back -- of Sacramento and the No. 8 spot in the playoffs.

Wednesday

Denver at Orlando

The Pistons are 6.5 games back of the Magic and only 2.5 up on the Nuggets. Let's stave off the Nuggets.

Sacramento at Philadelphia

As mentioned, the Pistons are three games back of the Kings; they are 9.5 back of Philly. Go Kings again.

New York at Boston

The Pistons are half a game back of the Knicks and three back of Boston. Take down the team directly in front of you first.

Cleveland at Phoenix

The Cavs are a game ahead of the Pistons, so this is an important one.

Detroit at Toronto

You know the drill.

Root for: Denver, Sacramento, New York, Cleveland, Toronto.
