NBA Tank Watch: Pistons hang on to No. 8 (worst record)

The Pistons are off until Wednesday, but that doesn't mean there won't be meaningless and thus, meaningful games to watch in the meantime. It's St. Patrick's Day, so hopefully the Pistons will get lucky.

Sunday

Boston at New Orleans

Boston took it to OT, but lost it there. Anthony Davis is a monster, becoming only the eighth player in NBA history to record 40 points, 20 rebounds and three blocks in a game. Make sure you check out CelticsBlog's take.

Sacramento at Minnesota

The Kings had a halftime lead and a chance late, but ultimately squandered an opportunity to steal one in Minnesota. Sactown Royalty on what happened:

The Sacramento Kings almost came away with their third victory of this road trip, but some bad execution down the stretch and a couple of big shots by the Timberwolves held them at bay as they lost 104-102. Former King Kevin Martin scored a game-high 31 points, including 14-14 from the line to lead the way for Minnesota. Kevin Love added 26 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.

Utah at San Antonio

This was a dream that was never going to happen.

Cleveland at LA Clippers

The Cavs lost by 22 and perhaps Kyrie Irving for the season with a biceps injury.

Monday

Atlanta at Charlotte

The Pistons are now five games back of the Hawks, but let's not get too comfortable.

Root for: Atlanta

Utah at Houston

A back-to-back in San Antonio and then Houston? Goooood luck, Utah.

Root for: Utah (3.5 games 'up' on Pistons)

Boston at Dallas

After an exciting OT loss in New Orleans, the Cs had to travel to play Dallas the next night. Meanwhile, the Pistons get three full days off before traveling west. Not fair!

Root for: Boston (3.5 games 'up' on Pistons)

LA Clippers at Denver

This game's on ESPN, so it has to be a good one, right? The Nuggets are .500 at home, and the Clippers' winning streak has to end at some point, right? Right?

Root for: Denver (4 games behind Pistons in tank race)
