Andre Drummond could play tonight against Suns

Center injured his head against Pacers, missed Nuggets game.

The Detroit Pistons can't keep young Andre Drummond off the floor, and the big man could return tonight to play the Phoenix Suns.

The team is still listing him as questionable, but that could change officially after the team's shootaround later today.

Head coach John Loyer seems impressed with the young man's passion and recovery, but he knows not to rush the most important player in the organization.

"The only way we'd use Andre is if he's 100 percent ready to go," Loyer told team reporter Keith Langlois. "There's too much at stake in the organization to not do that. If he's cleared, we'll play him like we normally do."

Drummond injured his head and neck after slamming his head into the hip of Indiana Pacers big man Roy Hibbert. Drummond was held out of the remainder of that game and was quickly ruled out of the team's next game against the Denver Nuggets.
