TUESDAY
The only game worth watching on Tuesday night for those only invested in the very best interests of the Pistons was the Lakers-Blazers nightcap. Unfortunately, the Lakers lost by 12. There were no other games worth watching -- whatsoever.
WEDNESDAY
Pistons at Pacers (7 p.m. ET)
Tank away, 'stons.
Root for: Pacers
Lakers at Kings (10 p.m. ET)
This is the big one, but good news is that it will go in the Pistons' favor no matter what unless it's postponed due to excessive controversy. If the Pistons lose and the Lakers win, the Pistons will be a game back of both the Kings and Lakers. If the Pistons lose and the Kings win, the Pistons will move into the No. 7 (worst) spot and trail the Lakers in the No. 6 spot by a still achievable 2.5 games. I could understand rooting interests for both sides, but let's move up first.
Root for: Kings
Cavaliers at Magic (7 p.m. ET)
The Cavs are chasing the Pistons in the tankathon standings, 2.5 games back. The Magic are six games up on the Pistons with eight to play.
Root for: Cavs
Celtics at Wizards (7 p.m. ET)
The Celtics are four games up on the Pistons, so they could still drop with some strong play.
