The Detroit Pistons are on the long road back to respectability, and the hiring of Stan Van Gundy has people wondering what the future holds in Detroit.
The fine gentlemen over at The Academy (warning: auto-play at the link) asked me to call in Friday to talk about the recent hiring of Jeff Bower, but we touched on a number of subjects including Stan Van Gundy, possible free agent targets and, of course, the future of Josh Smith.
The Academy is a relatively new sports program on RawRadioX, which is Detroit's No. 1 internet radio station. The show is based in Detroit and airs every Thursday from 4-6 p.m.
It was a fun discussion, and I feel like I managed to at least make sense. I might be 100 percent wrong but at least I was understandable. Progress, onward and upward and all that.
Anyway, it was a fun talk, as any discussion about the Pistons is bound to be a fun talk. Let me know what you guys think, and perhaps what you would like to see in possible Detroit Bad Boys podcast ahead of next season.
My section starts at the one-hour, 16-minute mark. You can listen via the embed below or follow this link that should kick right to my call-in. My segment lasts about 15 minutes. It's a perfectly lovely way to spend part of your weekend.
Thanks again to Andre and the crew at The Academy for having me on.
