Pistons team president and head coach Stan Van Gundy continues to build his front office, adding former Orlando Magic executive Brian Wright to be his assistant general manager under Jeff Bower. Wright's NBA career started as an intern with the Magic in 2006 when Stan Van Gundy was still head coach, eventually rising the ranks until his promotion to director of college scouting last season.
For a list of Wright's previous duties with the Magic, let's turn to his LinkedIn profile:
Coordinate all of the NBA Draft preperation as it relates to Collegiate and International Scouting.
Responsible for managing the scouting database as well as the video editing and sharing software for collegiate and international players.
Conduct regional collegiate and minor league scouting in the Southeast.
Responsible for maintaining and updating collegiate and NBA personnel reports and boards.
Responsible for all of the video editing as it relates to the draft for both college and international players.
Responsible for the credentialing, travel, and scheduling of team's collegiate scouts.
Responsible for Free Agent research.

I'd be lying if I said I'd heard of Wright before today, but he's apparently well-liked in NBA circles:
