The Detroit Pistons announced their preseason schedule today, opening with a pair of revenge games for their top two point guards: after opening things with a home game against D.J. Augustin's former Chicago Bulls teammates on Oct. 7, Brandon Jennings will have a chance to prove himself against his former Milwaukee Bucks teammates at home on Oct. 9.
After that, the Pistons go on the road for four games, including a trip to Stan Van Gundy's old stomping grounds in Orlando on Oct. 17. The Pistons will complete the preseason with a home game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Oct. 23. They'll have five days of rest before playing the games that actually count, starting with their regular-season opener on Oct. 29 at home against the Denver Nuggets.
TV and radio schedules for the preseason schedule have not yet been announced, but just to prepare you for frustration, traditionally not every preseason game is televised. Here's to hoping that's not the case this year.
See the Detroit Pistons' complete regular season schedule here, and the rest of the preseason schedule below. If you're trying to do the math in your head, that's 47 days until Detroit basketball is back.
