The fear that Brandon Jennings seriously injured his achilles in Saturday night's loss to the Milwaukee Bucks was fully realized on Sunday afternoon. According to The Detroit News, Jennings' MRI confirmed a full tear of his achilles. Jennings will miss the rest of the season.
About a half hour before The Detroit News posted their story, Jennings gave away the results of his MRI with the following tweet:
6/9months.

As has been pointed out, Kobe Bryant missed exactly eight months when he tore his achilles last year. Jonas Jerebko may have been able to play at the end of the 2010-2011 season after tearing his in the first game of the preseason. If Jennings works hard, he should be back by the start of next season, the final year on his contract.
Until then, Jennings said it best:
We gotta just keep pushin' WE (Pistons) worked to hard to get down about anything right now. We gotta stay focus on the main Goal. Playoffs!

It's a opportunity for someone else now to step up and ball out. Let's keep it Rollin' Fellas.
