New acquisitions Steve Blake and Aron Baynes are closer to returning to the Detroit Pistons, according to Pistons.com beat writer Keith Langlois. Langlois tweeted updates on several Pistons on Monday afternoon, including Blake and Baynes.
According to KL, Blake passed a baseline concussion test and rode the bike for 30 minutes at practice. In order to continue through the NBA concussion protocol, Blake must prove to be symptom free after riding the bike. Next steps would be jogging, agility work and non-contract drills. It seems possible he could be back practicing with the team by the end of the week.
While Blake's status is a little more touch and go, Baynes went through practice, splitting reps with Andre Drummond, and he is expected to be back in action by Sunday -- coincidentally against his former team, the San Antonio Spurs.
Langlois also noted that Adonis Thomas is back and Stan Van Gundy plans to give him heavy minutes in one of the next two games to see what Thomas has to offer.
Cartier Martin, who is nursing a right wrist injury, remains out, though. He is still wearing a brace and putting up shots left-handed.
Now your healthy thoughts.
