Brandon Jennings questionable to play in Miami, Atlanta

After a quick game with the Grand Rapids Drive, Brandon Jennings may be ready for some NBA action.

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

Brandon Jennings played a game with the Grand Rapids Drive on Saturday in a short rehab stint. Following his double-double of 11 points and 12 assists, the Pistons recalled Jennings (as well as Darrun Hilliard and Reggie Bullock) back to the Pistons. Keith Langlois tweeted on Monday that Jennings is still possible (though not probable) for the Miami Heat game on Tuesday:

Jennings' stint with the Drive was perfectly timed. He got a game in on a Pistons off day and will be with the team before traveling to Miami. If he doesn't suit up against the Heat, the following night in Atlanta presents another possible opportunity when fresh legs are at a premium. Both teams are currently in the playoff race and Stan Van Gundy will need all the fire power he can get.

Clear from this MLIVE article, Van Gundy isn't ready to simply hand Jennings Steve Blake's minutes yet. Jennings seems to understand that, but is hopeful to earn those minutes in practice. Whether or not Saturday's game and any action on Sunday and/or Monday is enough to convince Van Gundy remains to be seen.

While the NBA.com's media notes say he is out, we'd guess Jennings is more questionable for Tuesday night's game in Miami. The expectation is that he will at least be in uniform.

Would YOU play Jennings on Tuesday? Let us know in the poll and any details in the comments.
