Seems Stan Van Gundy wasn't feeling too swayed by the Christmas spirit when scheduling the next Pistons practice:

Van Gundy's reasoning for scheduling the practice, which he did before Wednesday night's loss, was simple: He doesn't want to give the guys two full days off and away from basketball. The Pistons have to be ready to go again on Saturday night against the Boston Celtics.
