Kobe Bryant's last appearance at the Palace of Auburn Hills was not one to remember, as the Pistons cruised to an easy 111-91 victory. The Pistons jumped out to a 15-0 lead to begin the game and never looked back.
Fans hoping Bryant would be able to turn back the clock were disappointed as he missed his first nine shots and finished with five points on 2-of-15 shooting with three turnovers. The Pistons led 90-75 after three quarters and it was largely garbage time from there.
The only excitement in the final frame was a Nick Young ejection after a hard shove on Anthony Tolliver after Tolliver fouled him on a transition dunk attempt. I guess Young doesn't appreciate actually putting forth effort on the basketball court.
The Pistons were led by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope who scored 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting. Andre Drummond chipped in 18 points and 15 rebounds in just 24 minutes of work and Reggie Jackson added 20 points and six assists.
The Lakers were led by young Julius Randle who had 15 points and 11 rebounds. Bryant's final line against the Detroit Pistons:
25:35 minutes, FG: 2-15, 3FG: 1-6, FT: 0-0, REB: 3, AST: 1, PF: 2, STL: 1, TO: 3, PTS: 5, +/-: -22.
