2015 NBA Free Agency: DeMarre Carroll not Motown bound, signs with Raps

Another one bites the dust.

Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

DeMarre Carroll announced via Twitter that he has reached an agreement with the Toronto Raptors.

Ken Berger of CBS Sports reports the deal is for four years and $60 million.

The future is now for the exploding NBA salary cap, folks.

Carroll was presumed to be one of the primary unrestricted free agent targets of the Detroit Pistons, who are looking for someone who can handle starting small forward duties. Currently, the only small forwards on the roster are rookie Stanley Johnson and maybe Quincy Miller.

The Pistons already previously lost out on their primary target, Danny Green, who re-signed with the San Antonio Spurs.
