It's getting closer to NBA draft time and with that come pre-draft workouts. We'll try to update you as best as possible as we learn who and when. A few days ago Jeff Goodman of ESPN posted Indiana point guard Yogi Ferrell's May workout schedule, which included Detroit among 11 teams:
Yogi Ferrell workout sched:LAL (5-16), LAC (18), Suns (20), Utah (22), Chi (23), Atl (25), Mavs (26), Det (31), Wiz (6-2), Nets (8), NY (10)

Ferrell, a very small but athletic point guard who can shoot the three ball well, is currently being mocked as a very late second round pick. The Pistons pick 49th.
A Ferrell workout makes sense for due diligence purposes and because the Pistons said they will be looking to upgrade their point guard depth this summer. While they'll likely add a not-Steve-Blake young reliable back up via trade or free agency (D.J. Augustin or Brandon Jennings?), they certainly won't limit themselves on weighing their options, and a rookie has never been ruled out even though youngster Spencer Dinwiddie is currently still around. And the Pistons have done OK with a small No. 11 point guard from Indiana in the past.
At this point, for all we know, the Pistons could be planning to schedule a workout for every single point guard available in the draft. The workout isn't confirmed, but it'd be smart.
Now your thoughts, especially yours IU fans (cough, Steve Hinson).
