The Detroit Pistons introduced first-round pick Henry Ellenson and second-round pick Michael Gbinije at a press conference in Auburn Hills today.
At the press conference, General Manager Jeff Bower talked about how excited he was, Assistant GM Brian Wright talked about how versatile he felt both players were and Stan Van Gundy talked about how both possessed a mature game that might allow them to see the floor early for the Pistons.
When it came time for the players to speak, well, they didn't say much.
Both are excited to be here, both offered platitudes for the Detroit organization, city and talked about how it's good the team finally made it back to the playoffs.
About the only notable thing that came out of the press conference was that Ellenson will wear No. 8 and Gbinije will wear No. 9.
Also, both ditched the traditional Pistons draft day hats for something much cooler. Old-school Detroit Bad Boys hats.
Of course, Detroit Bad Boys the website has to endorse that move.
