The Pistons announced via press release on Tuesday morning that they officially signed their first round draft pick Henry Ellenson to a rookie-scale contract. Ellenson out of Marquette was the No. 18 overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft. He put up over 12 points and seven rebounds in starting every game during the Orlando Summer League.
Ellenson's contract will pay roughly $1.4 million his rookie season and north of $6 million over four years. This puts the Pistons roster at 14 players under guaranteed contracts for the 2016-2017 season with Lorenzo Brown still working under a non-guaranteed deal. The Pistons are not expected to make any other moves for at least a couple months now at which time they will attempt to lock up KCP long-term and then see how Brown does during training camp after playing well in Orlando.
Now your thoughts on the official start to the doldrums of the offseason.
