Drummond posted to his Instagram account to confirm the five-year deal that he will sign.

5 more years Detroit! Today was a huge day for me, I'm just a kid out of Middletown who had a dream to play in the pros, mainly because of the love I have for the game but also how I could benefit my family. 4 years ago today I was given that opportunity to play the game I love and to provide for my family, That was just step one the next task was to make it thru my first contract and hopefully get another one. I am honored and humbled to say that I am a @detroitpistons player for 5 more years. I couldn't of made it this far without my mom and my little sister. Detroit thank you for the opportunity to play the game I love , and to the fans i will give it my all each and every day! #GoPistons #TAGOD
