Stan Van Gundy believes in competition and he's bringing it to training camp. With NBA teams allowed to bring as many as 20 bodies to camp in the fall, the Pistons have reportedly added another.
According to a tweet sent out by a writer at Sheridan Hoops and the AP, Michael Scotto, the Pistons signed another guard to a partially guaranteed deal on Monday (h/t MLIVE):

The Pistons have not confirmed the deal, but Aaron McMann of MLIVE tweeted a link to a story from a Virginian outlet with quotes from Freeman confirming it.
"I'm just excited," he said. "I'm going to go in there with a chip on my shoulder, and try to do whatever I can to get on the official roster."
Freeman started his collegiate career at Campbell before transferring to Old Dominion. He shot 35 percent from behind the long line in his two years at ODU and averaged 22 points on almost 20 shots per game his senior year, leading the Conference USA in scoring. You can see all his college stats here.
Freeman is a long shot to make the roster, but this could be his ticket to the Drive.
We'll update this post when more information becomes available.
