Pistons at Bucks preview: Stanley Johnson out for preseason finale

The starting unit won’t see any minutes all together this preseason.

NBA: Detroit Pistons at Milwaukee Bucks Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

The Milwaukee Bucks are winless in their three preseason games so far, but only one of those matchups have included Giannis Antetokounmpo. And in his 22 minutes, he looked every bit as unstoppable as he did last year as he dropped 24 points.

The Pistons will hold Stanley Johnson out tonight due to tightness in his back. With tonight serving as the preseason finale, that means the presumptive starting lineup for the Pistons won’t bank any minutes as a full unit the season tipoff next Wednesday.

Avery Bradley may suit up tonight, but will get a quick hook if he has any soreness from his ankle that has been bothering him.

After being blown out by the Toronto Raptors behind poor performances from Reggie Jackson and Andre Drummond, it’d be nice to see a bounceback game from the two of them.

Either Luke Kennard or Langston Galloway could help SVG with his final decision on who will be the backup on the wing. Kennard has been effective as a scorer inside the arc, but has yet to demonstrate being a three point threat yet. And Galloway’s defense looks solid, but he’s been putrid offensively, shooting just 25 percent from the field and 29 percent from three.
