The Detroit Pistons shocked the champion Golden State Warriors in Oracle Arena with a 115-107 win.
The Pistons capitalized on the Warriors’ sloppiness and held on when Golden State decided they gave a damn. A zoned in Dubs team is a scary sight but Detroit withstood every punch and earned the victory.
The game was sealed, fittingly, on an amazing Avery Bradley steal of Steph Curry. Bradley stripped the ball and took it coast to coast for the layup to put Detroit up 113-105 with 52 seconds remaining.
The Warriors shot 57 percent from the floor and still lost the game thanks to 25 turnovers. The Pistons turned those miscues into 33 points.
Combine that with 16 points and some amazing improvisation from Ish Smith, 45 points from the starting backcourt and there’s your ball game folks.
The Pistons look like they’re for real. Learning that on a super tough West Coast trip is neat!
