Detroit Pistons’ young players Luke Kennard and Henry Ellenson will be sent to the G League to play in the Grand Rapids Drive’s next game Sunday.
Neither rookie Kennard nor second-year player Ellenson are getting a lot of burn with the Pistons right now, and with Detroit having a few days off before playing the Pacers the young guys can get on the floor.
Kennard actually got off the bench for the first time in four games Saturday against the Kings. He struggled early but hit a jumper and notched an assist after a nifty pass on a fast break.
Ellenson has seen the floor more, but he hasn’t made much of a dent in the box score since a 14-point showing against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 25.
The two have played a combined 116 minutes this season.
