Pistons at Mavericks final score: It’s a trap! Pistons dominated in Dallas, lose 110-93

Pistons win streak ends to the 8-23 Mavs.

The final line for tonight’s game had the Mavs at a -1.5 favorite. Even though they were 8-23 coming into the game. Even though the Pistons were coming off a couple of nights rest.

Have to hand it to Vegas. They can sniff out a trap game.

The Mavs offense started clicking in the second quarter and they never looked back. The Pistons gave up 43 points in the quarter and followed it up by scoring just 13 points in the third. #StartWriting

Dallas held their lead to around the 20 point mark for the rest of the way.

It was a brutal night for Tobias Harris, shooting 4-16 from the field. Andre Drummond managed a double-double in just 21 minutes, but was limited to those minutes thanks to foul trouble.

Anthony Tolliver got the start as the Mavs went big and he was Detroit’s best player. He led the team in scoring with 18 points and knocked down four three pointers. Stanley Johnson also played well off the bench, scoring 16 points on 4-7 shooting and making all six of his free throws.

You know, the Mavs haven’t won much this year. But when they’ve won, they’ve won big. Earlier this month they beat the Nuggets by 17 points and the Clippers by 26. They also have a 32 point win against the Bucks and a 16 point win against the Thunder.

But in the past five quarters, the Pistons -30 points to two of the worst teams in the league right now. Gross.

Pistons will need to wash the bad taste from this one out of their mouths when they host the Knicks on Friday.
