UPDATE: Forgot about Dre? ESPN fixes error, slots Drummond at No. 14 on top 50 under 25 list

Andre Drummond originally left off ESPN list of top 50 players under 25 years old

NBA: Detroit Pistons at Golden State Warriors Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

I was curious about ESPN’s #NBA Rank Rising Stars, where they rank the top 50 players under 25. I watched as Tobias Harris was ranked No. 36 — pretty cool. Then came Kentavious Caldwell-Pope at No. 26 — not too shabby. I then sat waiting for where 23-year-old Andre Drummond would fall. When it came down to the top 5 and he was still not ranked I was pretty impressed.

Then it came out today, and what the hell? No Dre? At all?

I went through the list about 10 times and didn’t believe my eyes so I typed it out to make sure. You can Ctrll-F this thing all you want, you want find Andre Drummond (see update below list):

50. Elfrid Payton

49. Bismack Biyombo

48. Larry Nance Jr.

47. TJ Warren

46. Gary Harris

27. Rodney Hood

26. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

25. Brandon Ingram

24. Victor Oladipo

23. Julius Randle

22. Enes Kanter

21. Dennis Schroder

20. Otto Porter Jr.

19. Harrison Barnes

18. D’Angelo Russell

17. Zach LaVine

16. Ben Simmons

15. Jonas Valanciunas

14. Steven Adams

13. Devin Booker

12. Myles Turner

11. Andrew Wiggins

7. Rudy Gobert

6. Kristaps Porzingis

Yep. ESPN forgot about Dre. Look, I know Drummond and the Pistons are struggling this year, but we can all agree he’s better than Dennis freaking Schroder (no offense, Dennis). This has to be an ESPN error right? Or is it a colossal dis?

What do you think DBB?

UPDATE: ESPN acknowledged and fixed their error, putting Drummond at No. 14.

ESPN correction for Andre Drummond omission

Unfortunately, this means Elfrid Payton is no longer an official BBVA Compass #NBARank Rising Star. Sorry for your luck, Elfrid. Also, #NBARank is stupid.
