Full disclosure: the Pistons were down 13 in the fourth quarter when I left my house to take my dog for a walk. I figured I was safe.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had other plans for the Pistons tonight, erasing what was at one point an 18 point deficit in the third quarter. Over the last two minutes and change in the fourth quarter, KCP went unconscious to score 11 straight Piston points and will the game to overtime.

True story: I had tickets to this game. I passed on them at lunch because 1) home life and 2) I was terrified of going to a trade deadline dismantled Pistons game. I am an idiot.
Outside of KCP, Ish Smith played spectacular down the stretch, dropping beautiful dime after dime throughout the 4th quarter. He finished with 16 assists (!!!) and closed the game down while Reggie Jackson watched from the bench (*insert thinking face emoji*).
Oh wait, here’s some more fuel for this fire.

The Pistons defense was spectacular throughout the fourth. These closeouts had me on the verge of tears. Marcus Morris poured in a crucial seven points in overtime to seal the victory against what had become a stagnant Charlotte Hornets offense. Tobias had a ho-hum 25 point night to help matters as well. Interesting to see was the lineup closing the game: Ish Smith, KCP, Tobias, Marcus Morris, and Leuer at the five. I like it.
The Pistons are off till Rip Hamilton night on Sunday. Until then, to the victor goes the spoils, and the comments.
