NBA Draft Rumors: Detroit looking to make big move and several teams angling to pick in late lottery

NBA Draft rumor mill is in full swing

The Detroit Pistons have the No. 12 pick in the NBA draft, but there are rumors circulating that the team would like to make a big move.

Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report says that Detroit, Chicago, San Antonio, Minnesota, and Oklahoma City are all “hoping to make a big move.”

Already we’ve heard rumors that the Sacramento Kings and Pistons have had talks centered around Andre Drummond, possibly involving the No. 10 pick and the non-guaranteed contract of Arron Afflalo.

Elsewhere, the Bulls might part with Jimmy Butler San Antonio could look to move off of LeMarcus Aldridge or Danny Green as it chases Chris Paul or Derrick Rose(?!?!), Minnesota wants Paul George and might trade Ricky Rubio, and I have no idea what the Thunder are up to.

There are also several teams reportedly looking to trade into the bottom half of the lottery, with Draft Express’ Jonathan Givony naming the Lakers, Hawks, Nets, Bucks, Trail Blazers and Rockets, specifically.

If the Pistons traded Drummond for an additional pick would they commit to two young lottery picks or try and spin one of those into a deal for a possible veteran player?

If the deal with the Kings is bogus or doesn’t go through, does it still make sense for the Pistons to deal the pick? Do you see any players on the above team worth trading the No. 12 for?

Lastly, is this day going to be as crazy as it seems or will everything fizzle and things remain extremely boring?

Only a couple hours until we find out.
