The Detroit Pistons are slated to kick off the 2017-18 preseason with a home game against the Charlotte Hornets on Oct. 4, according to ESPN.
While no formal announcement has been made by the team, ESPN looks to have already loaded every NBA franchise’s official schedule onto their website (see update below).
The super sleuth who first cracked this case was Rod Beard of The Detroit News. While nobody is confirming the legitimacy of the dates and opponents, I cross checked other teams’ schedules with already announced opponents and they were all accurately represented.
The Pistons will all face off against the Indiana Pacers at home on Oct. 9 then hit the road on Oct. 10 against the Toronto Raptors and Oct. 13 against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Update: The Detroit Pistons will have a fifth preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks, the team announced Aug. 25th.
