You know the season is almost upon us when podcast invites start popping. And I was all too happy to dish on the Pistons offseason and a lot more with the folks at the 48 Minutes podcast.
We discussed the end of The Palace of Auburn Hills, the “Malice at the Palace” and, of course, a lot about your favorite topics — Andre Drummond, Reggie Jackson, the decision to move on from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and whether the Pistons are actually a good team.
Stay until the end where I needlessly shit on the Chicago Bulls, because, come on, the Bulls. Gross.
Hit up 48 Minutes website to listen or find it via your preferred podcast destination.
Also, in case you haven’t listened, make some time to fire up SB Nation’s Limited Upside Podcast where DBB’s own Laz Jackson joined Mike Prada and fellow Pistons fans John Ketchum and Kofie Yeboah of SB Nation for a look at the Pistons.
Prada spends a lot of time lamenting the downer tone of the podcast, and maybe it’s just because I’m in and around Pistons pessimism pretty regularly, but I actually think the episode is a pretty hilarious and lively discussion.
It is definitely the most I’ve laughed during any episode of the Limited Upside preview series. Plus, Laz adeptly slaps down the idea of Detroit enticing LeBron James on the premise of a Blaze Pizza endorsement deal. Very diplomatic.
You can read Laz’s perspective on the episode, including a bunch of extra thoughts they weren’t able to get to on the pod.
