Pistons announce partnership with Jeep

Jeep will have logo on court, sponsor several digital efforts

The Detroit Pistons and Jeep’s corporate owners agreed to a multi-year partnership, the team announced today.

Jeep will be the “exclusive domestic vehicle partner” of the Detroit Pistons. Jeep’s logo will be featured on the court as well as signage throughout Little Caesars Arena.

The sport-utility vehicle brand will also be the the official sponsor of the Wired podcast, in-game reaction from Pistons players and coaches and the “Life of the League” digital series. The brand will also be featured on several social media channels as the Pistons continue delivering #content to their adoring #fans.

Two more reactions:

1. I grew up in Toledo so I’m all about support for Jeep and my beloved Pistons.

2. I like the Jeep logo and its clean, unfussy look, but that simplicity kind of goes against that super dramamtic promo video the Pistons released to coincide with the announcement. Which I find kind of hilarious.
