Pistons at Hawks recap: Pistons offense grinds to a halt late, lose 118-115

There’s enough blame to go around for this one.

Ok first things first:

YOOOOOO THAT’S DOPE

Ok, now that we got that one out of the way, there wasn’t much to like about this game. Reggie Bullock had a big first half (again) and was promptly ignored for the rest of the game. Ish Smith played perhaps the worst game of his Pistons career. Blake Griffin shot 10 (T-E-N) threes, made three of them, and the last one barely counts because he made it as the clock expired and no Hawks gave anything resembling AF.

On the other side of the ball, the Pistons as a whole gave up 118 points to the Atlanta Hawks. Luminaries like Ersan Ilyasova (19 points), Tyler Dorsey (10 points) Mike Muscala (8 points, 2-4 from three) lit the Pistons up.

The Pistons are two games out of a playoff spot, and the losses that a better team would not incur (Chicago. Brooklyn. Utah. Tonight.) are beginning to mount. The playoffs are not going to be handed to the Pistons, they have to take it. And it starts Monday, at home, against a New Orleans Pelicans team that just gave up 128 points to Brooklyn.
