This played out as I’ve called it on the DBB Podcast: Stan Van Gundy is gone because he didn’t want to be compelled to do things he didn’t want to do. He’s now going to go to his lake house and chill, like he said he would, and the Pistons now have to fill out a Basketball Ops staff, find a General Manager, have that GM bring in a head coach, and do all of that before the NBA Draft in...

I honestly did not think that this was coming, that no news (or, an elongated meeting process) meant more of the same, and that Stan had earned the right to see his vision through.
