Let’s get it:
The Detroit Pistons have offered a front office role to Atlanta Hawks executive Malik Rose and sides are in conversations toward deal, league sources tell Yahoo. Rose was awarded G League Executive of Year this season with Erie.

The Free Press’ Vince Ellis has said repeatedly that the Pistons are hunting for young front office executives to handle player development, scouting, and analytics under Ed Stefanski (and his nebulous front-office title). Malik Rose, as a G-League executive, would presumably fit in as the player development piece of Stefanski’s front office triumvirate.
That is a presumption, however - Rose was not just any G-League executive. As the tweet notes, he was G-League Executive of the year this past season - his first season with the Atlanta Hawks affiliate. This could be an offer that includes the full title of General Manager.
Ellis, in tweeting regarding the report from Shams, also offered this nugget:
And still keep your eyes on Brent Barry as well for #Pistons FO last I heard. https://t.co/5uicEVZjvD

Rose as the head of player development, Brent Barry as the head of scouting, and Trajan Langdon as the head of analytics? That’s a front office I personally could get behind in Detroit.
What do you guys think of Malik Rose in the Pistons front office?
