John Beilein has apparently withdrawn from consideration as the next Detroit Pistons head coach this morning with a tweet that confirms he’ll be back at University of Michigan next season.
I love the University of Michigan and I am excited about coaching our Men’s Basketball Team next season and in the years to come ! Let’s go hang some more banners at “THE GREATEST UNIVERSITY IN THE WORLD “#GoBlue

Earlier this week Beilein and former Raptors coach Dwane Casey emerged as frontrunners for the Pistons job. Ime Udoka is also reportedly being seriously considered.
Beilein looked like an interesting candidate for the Pistons thanks to his work with the clipboard, but there were definite considerations on how the Pistons’ roster would translate to his scheme.
While reports continue to flow on the coaching search front, still no rumbles on the search for a new front office lead. We’ll keep you posted.
